One of the AV Lab’s graduate students, Jing Niu, will be showing her documentary “Departing” on March the 22nd at Full Frame Theater, American Tobacco campus.

VIDA PROPIA is an intimate look into the life of Nora Mendez, an immigrant kitchen worker and mother of three living in Durham, North Carolina.

 

DEPARTING by Jing Niu
Experimental Documentary, 35 minutes
DEPARTING is a personal film exploring migration- past and present. It is a journey woven with the everyday and the incarnated, in which the filmmaker asks, “what is a cultural identity?”
