The Audiovisualities Lab at the Franklin Humanities Institute is hosting a series of Ethnographic Media workshops for Duke students interested in learning the basics of media production and how to incorporate media into ethnographic research.

This term’s series, five workshops in all, will include an introduction to sound production and editing, as well as the basics of digital darkroom tools. In the final workshop, we will view and discuss ethnographic media projects that use film, sound, photography, and multi-media approaches, as well as have a roundtable discussion about ways to integrate media production in our own research.
