Jennifer Stratton is an interdisciplinary artist and researcher in Duke’s Experimental Documentary Arts program. Her approach to documentary narratives is routed in sensitive expressions of the ineffable and inexplicable, often blurring boundaries of artistic mediums. This process is centered in experimentation with concept, technique and material. Her creative productions and collaborations explore in-depth intersections and estrangements between individuals, communities and the natural world.
Currently, she is the Lab Manager for the PhD Lab in Digital Knowledge , a HASTAC Scholar and an Artist-in-Residence at the Nicholas School of the Environment’s Marine Lab. She was recently selected to be a U.S. delegate at the 2014 Terra Madre and Salone del Gusto world meeting.
