You-Jin Kim is an artist programmer of machinery live performance and new media. He consider his robot as a vehicle for rediscovering personal memories and stored data. In addition to his extensive programming background, You-Jin Kim is researching the kinetics of robot movement to better understand machine’s attitude and how we, as human affiliate with automation. Currently, he is focused on bigdata programming and way of presenting a large amount of data in personal level. You-Jin Kim believes the most powerful way to convey knowledge is to convert the data to intimate material. Through right presentation, You-Jin Kim strives to introduce revolutionary way to receive information through connecting one’s memories and experiences. You-Jin Kim holds a bachelor degree in Art and Technology Studies from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and more than 2 years of experience in the field of public affair. His robots has been performed and showed in Chicago, Seoul, Tokyo and North Carolina.
