Jennifer Ahern-Dodson is an Assistant Professsor of the Practice in Writing Studies and Associate Director for Duke’s Language, Arts, and Media Program. She teaches courses on student activism, personal narrative, and multimodal storytelling. She also cultivates faculty learning communities at Duke by focusing on stories about writing: How we write, why we write, for whom we write, and what brings us joy in our work. Her current research centers on the relationship between our writing stories and our teaching stories. Since 2002 she has co-created Durham based storytelling projects with students and community members.
