People in the Lab

Rodrigo Bulamah

Rodrigo Bulamah is a graduate student in Social Anthropology at the State University of Campinas (Unicamp), Brazil. He was a research affiliate at the Haiti Lab conducting research on the lakou system in 2012-2013. Taking it as a process more than a physical structure, his work attempts to show how kinship and family ties are organized around the lakou and cannot be separated from the spheres of production, mutual aid and market relations. His fieldwork was carried on in Milot, in northern Haiti.
