Duke Community Dance Day

January 24, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

A man and a woman hold hands as they begin working on a partner dance. There are other students in the background ready to learn how to move and dance.
All Duke faculty, students, and staff are invited to join this participatory, interactive workshop and discussion co-facilitated by Duke faculty, staff, and graduate students who embrace dance and movement as a mode of individual and collective discovery. Participants can move or join as engaged witness however they are comfortable. Event Co-facilitators each value dance as a mode of health, healing, empowerment, and knowledge production. Presenters include: Cuquis Robledo (’17, Health Humanities Lab Manager), Sarah Wilbur (Faculty, Duke Dance), Connie Zhou (’20, dance minor), Alyah Baker (MFA-dance), Ayan Felix (MFA-dance), Courtney Liu (MFA-dance), Courtney Crumpler (MFA-dance), and Ife Michelle Presswood (MFA-dance).
