ONLINE Expressive Writing for Resilience Related to COVID-19 with John Evans

April 10, 2020 @ 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm

Imagine an efficient, proven process to increase wellness and build resilience.  Expressive writing is such a process and promises to help manage the challenges of our complex lives, including high stress, decreasing immune function, increasing chronic symptoms, deteriorating health, grief and overcoming trauma. It has been proven to increase immunity, improve overall health, and subsequently improve quality of life. Due to the recent situation regarding COVID-19, The Duke Health Humanities Lab invites you all to join a special 6-week edition of Expressive Writing for Resilience related to COVID-19.  Research has shown that expressive writing is known to decrease depression, stress, rumination and increase resilience. No writing experience is necessary for this series! Come join renowned Expressive Writing coach, John Evans, on this journey to help yourself heal during this time of stress.

This workshop is open for students, faculty, staff and the community.
