Schoenberg Symposium on Manuscript Studies in the Digital Age. This year&#8217;s topic is the &#8220;paradox of loss&#8221;. Friday is particularly relevant to the MML, as the symposium will host a &#8220;Reflection on Loss, Trauma, and Conflict&#8221;, from\u00a0<strong>11:45 a.m. &#8211; 1:15 p.m.,\u00a0November 19th.\u00a0<\/strong>During this time Heghnar Watenpaugh, from the University of California, Davis, will host a talk titled &#8220;Survivor Objects: How the Destruction of Art Shapes the History of Art&#8221;; Nicholas Herman, of the SIMS at Penn Libraries, will moderate. Ellen Treharne, Stanford University, will follow by giving the keynote address at\u00a0<strong>2:00 p.m. on the 19th<\/strong>, titled &#8220;The Senses and Seduction of Loss&#8221;, and moderated by the University of Pennsylvania&#8217;s Matthew Aiello. What an intriguing event!<\/p>\n<p>Make sure to\u00a0<strong>register before 10:00 a.m.\u00a0<\/strong>of the day you wish to (virtually) attend; \u00a0registration is cut off after this time.<\/p>\n<p>If you can&#8217;t make the symposium itself, don&#8217;t fret!
