One Hundred Years of Advertising: 1918–2018 is the collective project of MSCM 3440 Media Business: Advertising, Sales & Marketing (Spring 2018).
Students in the class were each responsible for covering 4 years. Each entry includes not only information on advertising, but also a history of the time period with information about pop culture, music, economics, politics and race relations.
A small team of advanced undergraduates served as editorial and general assistants on the project. Tony Cunningham, Jr., a graduating senior, directed and produced all videos on the site. At the May 2018 FHI-NCCU Fellows Symposium, he joined Prof. McKissick-Melton in presenting the project - see video on right.
