In Fall 2016, students in Dr. Kathryn Wymer's ENG 3040: Special Topics in LGBT Literature course put together presentations on LGBTQ-identified Black Authors, and Black Authors who have been identified as allies to the LGBTQ community, as the culmination of the first undergraduate course on LGBT literature at NCCU.
In addition to an overall timeline and presentations on individual authors, the LGBTQ Black Authors site also includes resources for supporting queer and trans people of color (QTPOC) in the classroom.
