Christina Chia is Associate Director at the Franklin Humanities Institute. She holds a doctorate in English from Duke, with a focus on race and empire in 19th and 20th century US. Since joining the FHI in 2006 she has administered a wide range of research and education programs, including the Graduate Digital Scholarship Initiative, the Humanities Laboratories, the FHI-North Carolina Central University Digital Humanities Fellowships, and Story+. She has been involved with planning and support for the FHI-NCCU DH initiative since 2013-14.
