Introduction to computer programming and interactive media production as artistic practice. In-depth exploration of critical possibilities opened by computational media through exercises, projects, and critiques. Experience with programming basics includes procedural and object-oriented programming, two- and three-dimensional graphics, data visualization, and innovative methods for interactivity. Team-taught. No previous programming experience required. This course is part of the MFA in Experimental and Documentary Arts program.
