Alex Fowler

Alexander Fowler is a first-year Ph.D. candidate in the Classical Studies department at Duke University. After receiving his BA at The University of Vermont in the study of the Latin, Ancient Greek, and Chinese languages and literatures, his main areas of interest have widened to include the poetry of Late Antiquity, comparative literature and philosophy between ancient Chinese and Greco-Roman culture, literary translation, and the reception of the Classical world in other great authors, such as Dante and Robert Frost. In addition to his Classical studies, he also composes original poetry.
