Caitlin-Margaret Kelly

Caitlin Margaret Kelly is a photographer working in both documentary and conceptual styles. Her areas of interest are social and womens issues, identity, place and the production of knowledge. For her  MFA in Experimental and Documentary arts, Kelly is working on a series of B&W portraits of women living with HIV, examining the role of the image in the creation of identity, exclusion and inclusion. Her other current works include a portrait of place in a series of photographs taken in The West End neighborhood of Durham as well as the détournement of news photographs, calling attention to the relationship between textual and visual information and the production of knowledge in our media landscape.
