Caroline Newhall

Caroline is a first year PhD candidate at UNC Chapel Hill in the History Department, with the intended focus of further researching the military tribunal that tried and sentenced Major Henry Wirz, commandant at Andersonville Prison, to death following the end of U.S. Civil War. She hails from New York City where she worked in Marketing and Digital Advertising for four years before making the jump back into academia. When not hitting the books, Caroline likes to sing a cappella and grill a mean steak.
