Elsa Friis

Elsa is a doctoral student in clinical psychology at Duke University. Her research interests center around the development of evidence-based family therapy interventions to improve child mental health in developing countries utilizing community participatory approaches. Her ongoing work explores the feasibility of mobile assisted family therapy in under-resourced communities. Elsa received her Masters in Global Health from Duke University where she utilized a qualitative approach to develop a culturally grounded model of family-based interpersonal violence in Kenya.
