Mapping movements: NiUnaMenos

October 18, 2017 @ 3:00 pm 4:00 pm

Join the Social Movements Lab for a discussion about NiUnaMenos, an Argentinian movement against femicide and sexual violence. We will meet in the Lab space in Smith Warehouse, Bay 5 (enter at Bay 4 or 6). As preparation for our discussion, please read these two brief interviews: https://www.viewpointmag.com/2017/03/21/the-strike-of-those-who-cant-stop-an-interview-with-veronica-gago-and-natalia-fontana/ https://www.jacobinmag.com/2017/03/argentina-ni-una-menos-femicides-women-strike As a follow-up, next Monday (10/23) at 12 noon we will have a dialogue with Verónica Gago via Skype. Verónica is an activist in NiUnaMenos. Some of the questions we may discuss are those that we formulated together during our last meeting in the lab: https://sites.fhi.duke.edu/socialmovementslab/projects/ For Parking and Accessibility info, see: https://fhi.duke.edu/contact-us
