Please join us for Shaping our Community: Artists at Work on Thursday, March 23rd, 7:00 PM, at the Durham Arts Council Building. The evening’s program includes the introduction of the 2017 Ella Fountain Pratt Emerging Artists and a conversation exploring exciting new ways in which artists shape our community.

The evening’s key note is Pedro Lasch – international artist, activist, teacher, writer, Duke professor, and Director of the Social Practices Lab at the Franklin Humanities Institute. We are delighted to welcome him as he shares his vision of artist and community as a symbiotic entrepreneurship, the possibilities and challenges facing artists in shaping community and the role of the university as an incubator for social practice.
After the program, join speakers and artists at a delicious buffet and wine reception, featuring delicacies by Alivia’s Executive Chef, Mark Mishalanie.
