Duke Artist Collective is a growing community of student-creatives on Duke campus. Our goal is to foster a culture of collaboration in the arts at Duke by helping students grow and learn as artists, navigate artistic opportunities at Duke, and bring creative projects to life.
As a collective, members help one another execute their artistic visions. In contrast to larger umbrella organizations, we provide a space for student artists to socialize, collaborate, and give feedback to one another on a regular basis.
Our initiatives emphasize continued and engaged artistic practice and collaboration over skill workshops (of which there are already a rich offering).
Additionally, our Fellowship program contrasts StudioDuke, as no student is expected to join with a fully-realized idea. Our club leaders help Fellows meld their ideas into one strong artistic vision, to produce an artistic work at the end of the term-long program.
All members are encouraged to share ideas, resources, and knowledge in the service of a stronger arts community at Duke.
