For this project, James Mbuthia collaborated with over 50 LGBTIQ+ people across East and Southern Africa for Queer African Network’s homegrown celebration of queer resistance, Amandla Magazine. Despite the pandemic, the process brought out the stories of individuals and organizations across 12 countries in multiple interviews, photoshoots and an exhibit in different time zones and continents around the world. By working on its social media campaigns, Amandla Magazine was able to reach over 90K+ people globally, and we are looking to push new frontiers in championing for human rights.  Find all three volumes published in the Fall of 2020 at queerafricannetwork.com
