Ariana Curtis

Ariana A. Curtis, PhD isĀ dedicated to building inclusive frameworks that disrupt systemic marginalization, misrepresentation, and erasure. She is a researcher, writer, curator, public speaker, Blue Devils fan, and an unapologetic hoop-earrings lover. She has published in academic and popular outlets andĀ appeared in national media including NPR, LatinoUSA, and The Root. Her TED talk about women and museum representation has over 3 million views. Ariana is a Fulbright scholar, founding member of the Black Latinas Know Collective, and board member of Duke Libraries, the National Association of Latino Arts and Cultures, and the Museum Association of the Caribbean.

Ariana collaborated with the Artistic Research Initiative (sponsored by the Mellon Foundation) as a guest presenter for Art of the MOOC: Colors, Bodies, Power.
