J. Andrew Armacost

J. Andrew Armacost serves as the Curator of Collections in the David M. Rubenstein Rare Book & Manuscript Library at Duke University. He curates collections related to early manuscripts, rare books, and modern archives and supports the work of many of the research centers in the Library. He has a special interest in book history, provenance research and the history of collecting, museum and library history, printing history, and history of photography. Prior to coming to Duke in 2005, he earned a graduate degree in Art History from the University of Delaware and worked in the international rare book trade at Oak Knoll Books and Press, a firm that specializes in book history.
