Michael Freeman is a recent doctoral graduate in the Department of Classical Studies with academic interests in papyrology, social and intellectual history, and ancient education. At the Lab, he is exploring the ancient recycling and re-use of papyri as scribal “school texts” and is investigating where the provenance history of these texts locates centers of learning in Greco-Roman Egypt.
