NCCU-Duke Digital Humanities Fellows Symposium 2021

March 19, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

DH in Process: Teaching and Research with the NCCU-Duke Digital Humanities Fellows

Inspire, encourage, (warn)

In 2016 the Mellon Foundation supported the creation of a DH Fellows program with the goal of promoting digital humanities practices at North Carolina Central University. Since then, several cohorts of fellows have participated in the program, and NCCU has established its own Digital Humanities Lab. Join us for a special interactive session with the NCCU-Duke Digital Humanities Fellows Alums. They will present short lightning talks and then we’ll open up the discussion to learn more from experiences, exchange ideas, and develop new insights. How did they conceive of and implement their teaching interventions and research projects? How have their experiences evolved? What tips, tricks, and ideas do they have to share – with faculty at NCCU, other Historically Black Colleges and Universities, and other institutions?  Presenters will include: Candace Bailey, Tony Frazier, Collie Fulford, Lenora Helm, Russell Robinson, and Kathryn Wymer. Join the conversation via Zoom!
