Events in the Social Movements Lab on organizing with platform workers (such as food deliverers and Uber drivers):
With Todd Wolfson we will discuss some of the efforts to organize platform workers and the difficulties facing such organizing efforts. Todd will share his experiences working with taxi and Uber drivers in Philadelphia and the plans for future organizing efforts in Philadelphia and elsewhere.
We will have two linked events:
1) a preparatory mapping session on Monday, 11/11 (12pm-1pm)
2) a dialogue with Todd Wolfson on Wednesday, 11/13 (12pm-1pm).
Suggested readings for the mapping session:
We’ll have free lunch for participants on both days.
