Through the Eyes of African Women – with Anwulika Okonjo

Through the Eyes of African Women is a web-based, not-for-profit platform dedicated to amplifying the voices of African women and empowering young African women (mid teens- late 20s) to be at the forefront of social change in African nations. Through collaboration with African women scholars, thinkers, activists, creators and other individuals, Through the Eyes of African Women aims to enhance the social and political consciousness of young African women and enable them to reclaim and command their narratives. Anwulika Okonjo will talk about the origins of Through the Eyes of African Women, as well as the theories and principles grounding it and her team’s strategy. She will discuss TEAW projects and goals and her work with young women-led groups in Nigeria.
